so, i made pita bread last week. i have a bread machine, so it was easy... granted, i had to roll and shape the dough, but it wasn't a big deal. this stuff is good. i just finished the last of it, so i need to make more. yes, i'm being bad and not rotating wheat. yes, i'm paying for it. maybe tomorrow will be a wheat-free day. it's not like i have to go out of my way to be wheat-free... i keep rice, potato, etc, noodles on hand. i can make wheat-free flatbreads...

i made the cheese crackers with oat flour last time. those were a success. maybe i'll try doing something with the teff i have. injera's a pain in the ass to make, but maybe it's time.

i bet rice roti would be good with hummus.

yes, i made more hummus. i added freshly roasted red peppers to this batch. YUM.

and on a final note, red_frog deserves to be acknowleged as the Granita Goddess.

i'm not sure why i'm doing so many random updates tonight. i could be editing photos or something useful, but no.... not me.

i'm getting ready to brew a custom blend--rooibos, orange (dried rind), and fennelseed. i am the queen of odd teas!

DAMMIT, where's the Riverside Shakespeare? Surely it's not still in Indiana?!? We *need* that book on a regular basis...

Today I have just two things I must accomplish:
go to the gym and attempt to swim a length or two (this will help me decide whether I can tolerate the pool chemicals)
take a picture of red_frog's fungus.

Granted, I need to eat and get dressed, too. I hate that I have an illness where doing those things is actually an accomplishment.

Right now, I'm going to go drink some water. I've had too much soda recently and my skin is quite unhappy.

red_frog has beautiful fungi... contrary to popular belief, it's *not* growing on her. she has a stick covered in blue velvet lying in her mosquito-infested back yard. ;)

explodingcat cooked up some broccoli (mmm, garlic and butter). we had that. he added a chicken burger and a plateful of pasta-lentil salad. i had a bowl of dal and a pappadum.

i wonder if i have any juice...
