i'm catching up on my salon reading...

so this article about building monuments to warn future archaeologists away from nuclear waste caught my interest.

i'd really like to listen in on the theories the designers have. frankly, it seems like simple illustrations of the radioactive compounds' molecular structures would serve a much more obvious means of warning.Ë

i made beet bread last night...

well, the bread machine made it, but i helped.

it's quite yummy.

as boy says, "it tastes like it's already been dipped in soup."

and it's very good as grilled cheese with smoked cheddar.
