I'm not sure I can actually reword this in a way that doesn't smack of bluntness. . . .

so how about you see what a cancer researcher has to say about the lack of enrollement in therapeutic vaccine trials.

Sure! Most traditional cakes (from scratch, no mixes) are soy-free, just use Spectrum Palm shortening or butter in place of crisco or margarine. Kosher For Passover chocolate chips should be soy-free (read labels), though you'll have to wait another year for those. Here in town, IY stocks EnjoyLifeFoods brand chocolate chips, which are soy-free. I have several memory-marked recipes (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=krasota&keyword=food&filter=all), but most of the desserts are gluten-free and soy-free. Hershey's cocoa powder is soy-free. I like the dutched cocoa best.

I've not made red velvet cake for over fifteen years, but this one (http://www.cdkitchen.com/recipes/recs/173/Red__Chocolate__Cake39485.shtml) can be made soy-free with the right sub for the shortening.

The chocolate cake I made this weekend is soy-free (if soy-free mayo is used), as well as gluten-free and nut-free. And everyone ate it quite happily. It turns out dense, like brownies.
