Right now, I hate Habitat for Humanity. Their construction workers are cutting down trees in the small ravine behind my house. A pair of pileated woodpeckers lives back there, among the myriad other birds and wildlife. They're cutting away the trees that line the bank of a small creek. This will contribute to erosion, while the new home materials and new lawns will contribute to the death of the creek.

Boy says it's better they destroy nature in town than outside of city limits, but I think it sucks, period.

It makes me so sad for your and the Woodpeckers. Pileateds are my favorite species of woodpecker. i guess because they are so big and cool looking. I hate that Habitat is destroying habitat. You know?

It does suck. It sucks. When I win a million dollars I'll build a big large home in the country and you and boy can come and live with us. Maybe YOU can teach Chris to eat!

I'm soooo sad for you and angry I think too. It's wasteful to destroy the trees. it happens here far too much. At least in the process of cutting behiund us it was just shrubbery and weeds no actual trees and at least we are in a known division. I want to buy the land next to us if we ever can. It's 97 undeveloped acres I don;t want it all just like a few acre buffer. Well, I want it all I just can't have it all. :)
