bat smorgasbord

I really wish I could enjoy my deck during the summer. I just went out to sweep away storm debris and within a minute had enough mosquito bites to trigger hives. There just aren't enough bats and ladybugs to eat them all. And the Asian Tiger Mosquito is my own personal nemesis. I'd like to enjoy my yard. I'd like to sit outside and enjoy a glass of iced tea.

The next time we get a rainstorm, I'm going out and taking care of the deck. It will be swept and scrubbed. There will be *no* more flowerpots out there. I like having plants, but I'll bring them back inside. I'll just have to get plant lights again.

There are plenty of bats here, the ravine has tons of trees that host bats. We don't really have any good places to mount a bathouse in the yard itself and our house isn't tall enough. The local bat population needs a high E or SE exposure, preferably guarded against the west/northwest winds.
