they ended up cutting me open (back, right side, 'tween ribs)... the cyst was larger, inflamed, and infected... and full of scar tissue. it definitely caused my pericardial effusion a couple months ago.

i'm in level II ICU... they'll let me go once they find an oral painkiller they can send me home with... wednesday, most likely.

they took out my foley catheter, my chest drain, and fixed my IVs today. :)

thanks,everyone. :) i'll fill y'all in when i'm less tired. had some nerve pain keeping me awake last night.

actually, i discovered that foley catheters aren't that bad. they inserted it while i was under sedation... since the pain meds i'm on cause urinary retention, it was nifty to not have to worry about peeing. my body took care of it for me.

of course, this evening, i had to deal with it, but i've had SO MUCH water, i was okay... unless i tried right after toradol AND fetinyl.
