give me a wooly mammoth, dammit.
Sep. 22nd, 2004 05:06 pmgreat. the new web interface looks like crap on my browser. it's literally headache inducing, as none of the boxes go where they should. everything overlaps.
i can't run OSX on this machine and can't exactly buy a new mac right now. i don't like any of the clients, as the ones for Classic are clunky and less versatile than a browser. well, they were less versatile. this new stuff sucks syphilitic donkey balls.

Date: 2004-09-22 02:56 pm (UTC)The "View comment pages in your journal style?" along with the old layout might help (but odds are you've already got that set).
Firefox is the best of the bunch for OS9 choices... Which machine do you have again? There's a 3rd-party package that gets OSX started on some of the older G3-based machines.

Date: 2004-09-22 03:22 pm (UTC)Opera 6.02 crashes this machine if I open LJ pages (accidentally) that are set in S2. Needless to say, once my logged in cookie expired, it became useless to even try to use it anymore.
I really don't *want* to put OSX on this machine. It would just be wayyy too slow, plus I still need proggies that run in Classic (Photoshop, Dreamweaver).
I generally use IE, simply because it's the most stable browser for this OS, at the moment.
And yes, I have my journal set to S1.
