i just made up a pitcher of koolaid sweetened with stevia.

i don't care for it. it prickles my tongue, it's too thin, it doesn't taste right (yes, it's sweet).

i've realized that, in using florida crystals, i've grown accustomed to the flavor of sugar. i like the way it tastes--not the sweetness so much as the flavor itself. and i like the way it makes koolaid a bit thicker, not quite syrupy, but not as light as water or alcohol.

i won't drink any more. it makes my tongue feel too weird.

it was worth a try, i suppose.

the one bad thing about using stevia, is tht while it is very sweet, you can't use it to replace sugar in alot of baking. Since the sugar is what makes some of the food chemical reactions happen.

Good cookbook for Stevia use is The Stevia Cookbook.

A good book on modyfiying your diet to clear your system of Candida overgrowth is The Body Ecology Diet.
