Jun. 11th, 2003 03:06 pmFor supper...
forbidden rice risotto
curried peas
we might add some more stuff later, but this will do for now. :)
the appointment went okay. he snipped the band slightly so that it won't compress my foot so much. i neglected to tell him that while it *looks* tight, it still slips up and down my foot very easily when i walk. oops.
he doesn't see how one metatarsal band/pad on each foot could cause the extra pain, but acknowleges that this is my body and that i have bone/muscle problems he doesn't usually see in a "young girl". he at least believes me when i tell him that i did not have the extra, different pain before i wore these things.
i see him again in a couple weeks.
he also said that my insurance is claiming he's not on their policy, even though the other doctors in the practice are. he's trying to straighten it out and says i will not have to pay anything extra for his and the insurance's screw-up. that's very nice.
if my insurance will actually cover orthoses, i'm going to have to get referred to one of the other doctors in the practice for them. pain in the ass, but i'll do it if it means my insurance will pay.
time to stir the risotto. after dinner--flyering.

Date: 2003-06-11 09:58 pm (UTC)Maybe you should write a cookbook. I'd definitely be interested in the how to use foreign spices section- I am having a hard time with that, despite my love of all things curry.
Also, amen to the chinese five-spice. That stuff rocks.

Nice to see other folks staying up late.

They taste a bit like oregano and are about four times the size of a sesame seed, black, and triangular.
