weather for mount laurel, NJ

dammit. i want 10 inches of snow and i want it NOW.

i want to see the swamp outside this window heapin' full of snow and ice. i want to see snowplow drivers crying for mercy.

i want winter to slap me in the face and kick me in the ass.

Having passed through places like "scenic" Jersey City, viewed only from I-78, or crawling down the turnpike in traffic jams, I used to have trouble using that word in the same sentence with New Jersey. Then, [livejournal.com profile] computerchix's brother's family moved to Hackettstown for a while. Delaware Water Gap... *drool*...

Not hard to believe at all.

it's semi-rural. mt. holly is a few minutes up 38 from here--not far at all. the housing development here in mount laurel is brand new (built last year) and there are new developments going up all over. the back "yard" here, though, is a wetlands conservation area that will *not* be developed. since my MiL is a birder, she's in heaven. ;)

my MiL is from Hackettstown. we go up there every now and again. that's the hilly part of NJ. they now live in the flat part (though not as flat as south jersey gets. south jersey resembles indiana).
