Friday love.
Apr. 13th, 2007 11:41 amI've registered the car seat, extra base, and stroller with Graco, so I should be covered in case of product recalls. I need to see if
bedbugsbite needs more boxes--I have two more large ones. I also have some Similac I'm going to drop off at either the animal shelter or a food bank. I emailed the Albemarle FD about scheduling another car seat install now that we have the extra base--it'll be nice to have the option of taking the Buick or the Crown Vic without switching bases and worrying if I have a proper install.
Today's to-do list:
find coffee
go to lowe's and grab some paint sticks
cut our measuring stick to 36" with the box mitre, mark for border bottom edge
screw in receptacle covers and window hardware
buy another tiny paintbrush from Michael's
get the rest of the supplies for making birth announcements
I don't think that's too much. We'll see. I tire easily, but it's probably just a combination of low iron and being rather pregnant.
I'm not climbing up on the stepladder without boy in there to keep an eye on me. I'm not that dizzy, but the climbing down is sometimes hairy. The trim will be done tomorrow, the floors on Sunday. And then that room is DONE and proper nesting may commence.
We have a new power adaptor for the iBook. It seems the power port is still damaged/loose from the old one, so a box is en route from Apple.
Our Comcast connection is still sucktastic. We're seriously contemplating making the switch to DSL. We were worried about lag time with the VPN, but boy has been dialing in, so it can't really be any worse than dial-up. We need to find someone to run the phone lines, since I can't do it in my current state and boy is hesitant to commune with the cave crickets. I want them run properly and I want extra jacks put in, so we might just call Embarq and see what the fees are like--I assume they still to line installations. They don't list this information on their poorly organized website.
I've been trying to hold out for the new lines/equipment with Comcast, but I'm sick of paying for constantly bouncy connectivity and syncing failures several times a day, followed by a failure to obtain an IP address.
