So yesterday was a day of accomplishments. We went to the opening day of the farmer's market (mmm, beets & spinach) and then to Lowe's (I bought the wrong size roller pan liners last week). We found a cool fishy border that we like--very bold, not all pastel and babyish. We painted the first coat for the ceiling and bottom wall. We then went to Ikea and bought a crib mattress and a few small things. I should've bought lingonberry concentrate for [livejournal.com profile] ez_mo, but my arms were full and the lines were hella long.

I slept relatively well, but I'm very sore today. I was gonna go float in the therapy pool at ACAC for half an hour when boy reminded me that it's some major religious holiday and ACAC is closed. Fooey. Maybe he'll scrub the tub so that I can take a hot bath with epsom salts.

(Just asked, he said he's cool with that.)

Also going to put a big pan of water on the stove. I'm hella dry and my asthma is bothering me. Some humidity would help.

After I soak, we'll paint some more. And then we'll clean up most of what's in there. Boy will tape the trim along the floor (I've sworn off touching tape--it never ends well and my reactions are just not worth it.) Sometime soon, we'll be able to paint the floor trim, give it a second coat, and then we'll be done! YAY!

I'm headachy. I can't figure out if it's just sinuses, dehydration, caffeine, or what. I can't find the tylenol, either. Drinking lots of tea in hopes that it will help.

Phew!

The major painting is done--finally! We still have to do the non-window trim. After that, I'll scrub and shine the wood floors and measure for the border. Meanwhile, I can screw the receptacle covers back into place (very tempted to replace the off-white receptacles with white, but that's just excessive) and put the window hardware back on.

Since we did the ceiling as an afterthought, we need to get some very tiny brushes to touch up the wall along the ceiling where the tape seal wasn't good. Or, y'know, I could convince boy that duct tape borders are all the rage with funky trimwork.

I had a short, hot, salty soak in the tub earlier. It was good for me.

It's about time to get dressed in non-work clothes and get to Whole Foods. The GF pizza crusts I bought two days ago have visible mold on them. They've been refrigerated the whole time, so I'm not cool with this. I usually won't buy them if they're not frozen--and for this very reason. We were planning on having pizza this weekend, though, so I went ahead, even though they were completely thawed in-store.

I had other crusts in the freezer (glutino or kinnickinnick), so we still had BBQ chicken pizza for lunch. Caramelized onions and roasted red peppers. Yum.

Jericho has avoided a bath today, though I'm not sure for how long. It's cold and close to suppertime, so he's probably got a reprieve for the day.
