Phew!

The major painting is done--finally! We still have to do the non-window trim. After that, I'll scrub and shine the wood floors and measure for the border. Meanwhile, I can screw the receptacle covers back into place (very tempted to replace the off-white receptacles with white, but that's just excessive) and put the window hardware back on.

Since we did the ceiling as an afterthought, we need to get some very tiny brushes to touch up the wall along the ceiling where the tape seal wasn't good. Or, y'know, I could convince boy that duct tape borders are all the rage with funky trimwork.

I had a short, hot, salty soak in the tub earlier. It was good for me.

It's about time to get dressed in non-work clothes and get to Whole Foods. The GF pizza crusts I bought two days ago have visible mold on them. They've been refrigerated the whole time, so I'm not cool with this. I usually won't buy them if they're not frozen--and for this very reason. We were planning on having pizza this weekend, though, so I went ahead, even though they were completely thawed in-store.

I had other crusts in the freezer (glutino or kinnickinnick), so we still had BBQ chicken pizza for lunch. Caramelized onions and roasted red peppers. Yum.

Jericho has avoided a bath today, though I'm not sure for how long. It's cold and close to suppertime, so he's probably got a reprieve for the day.

I got white ones at Lowe's... I think the same price as new off-white ones... Not too excessive for me because 2 of the switch covers were broken when we moved in.

I'm talking about the receptacles themselves . . . I replaced all the receptacles in the house when we moved in--making them match the covers (offwhite) and switchplates (also off-white). Some of the receptacles were brown with offwhite covers and almost all of them were two-prong, not three.

I think I promised my mom that I wouldn't do electrical work while pregnant.

Not really . . . it's just not necessary and I'd have to work around the belly. And I try to avoid caving in to OCD tendencies when the end result is inconsequential. In this case, the outlets will most certainly be covered by furniture. I might still look for a novelty switchplate for the light switch. That's not excessive, that's just cute.

Or I could use stickers. Or I could cover it with leftover border.
