Sleepy time.
Feb. 27th, 2006 06:01 pmSunday. The denouement. Skzsp relinquished his boa and skirt and turned the fishnets and duster back over to me and eventually forced himself to wash his face.
Hedwig is over, the final two shows a fabulous climax. I have my husband back and most of the makeup is finally washed out of his eyebrows.
We went to Dirty Dogs. I've been too tired to do a lot of my own driving, so boy spent his first lovely free day schlepping me up 29 so that Jerry could get a *real* bath. Sure, he gets real baths in our shower, but I can stand at Dirty Dogs and the nozzle is a garden nozzle, which delivers better pressure. He got sudsed up twice and conditioned and no longer smells at all stinky. He got mostly-dried and was a very good dog for that--he hates dryers (most dogs do), but he behaved admirably.
We brought our lovely clean dog home and I started cooking for the cast party. We didn't have to bring anything, but I like to arrive prepared with food to share. I took chebe bread and carrot cake--both went over quite well.
Today was slow at first, but then the plumber arrived a day early, so I called
ez_mo and made plans to meet up at our favorite caffeine watering hole. A cuppa milk/espresso and a few bags of groceries later, I came home to my lovely husband.
Dinner is on the stove. My poodle is adorable and fuzzy. Life is good.
