I'd rather be schnockered.
Mar. 2nd, 2006 03:58 pmIt's freakin' hot out today--mid-70s. I went out to do some minor yard work and am totally knackered now.
Trimmed down the mums, trimmed the dead growth on the pineapple sage, tossed down 6 cubic feet of mulch, put out the tulip bulbs, hoping they aren't all rotten, transplanted the ancient daffodils growing under the deck, cut down the dead pokewood foliage, and pulled up some ground ivy. If I can get back up again, I'm going to put down more mulch and carry all the trimmed stuff to the compost heap.
This is all very light work, but it exhausts me. Jericho thinks being outside is awesome, though, so at least I have company.
If I'd realized how nice it was, I'd have called
ez_mo and invited her to bring the kidlings over to play while I work. I bet I could put Ana to work. ;) Or we could've gone to the playground!
