I'm hungry...

Anyhow, today I'll hit IY (maybe my wheat gluten is in by now) and Whole Foods.

At 5, boy and I will go up to the orchard for peaches. Anyone up for a drive? Rain cancels, as the road becomes impassable in rain showers.

I'm not eating enough. I haven't been for awhile. My appetite isn't large enough for enough calories to sustain me, so my metabolism slows and my energy drops even more. I don't know *how* to eat enough, since eating more upsets my tummy. My jaw has been bothering me lately, so eating anything crunchy/chewy is out. *sigh* I don't consume more than 900 calories a day... this isn't a good thing. *sigh* I really need to eat more, but it's hard when I rarely have an appetite. When I do want to eat, a few bites typically suffices. Sometimes I can eat one full meal a day and even a reasonable amount, but then it's the only meal I eat... not only is it hard to keep my metabolism up, my blood pressure drops from the lack of sodium... when I do eat, I make sure to liberally salt my food, just to keep upright.

Roasted brussels sprouts
red lentils with quinoa, tomatoes, and onions

Yum.

I think boy is having fish, too.
Put a couple teaspoons olive oil in a saucepan, heat. Add about 1/2 tsp cumin seed. Add one small red onion, diced. Stir a bit. Add some garlic pepper (maybe 1 tsp? maybe less?) and a half teaspoon or so cinnamon and a bay leaf. When the onion is more softened, add 1 cup rinsed red lentils and about 2 cups broth. Then add about half a chopped tomato (I had to eat the rest... it was a 3" ripe ripe ripe red tomato). Heat to boiling, stir, reduce heat. After about 10-15 minutes, the lentils should have softened, add 2/3 cup quinoa (also well-rinsed). Return to boiling, then reduce. Add another cup of broth at some point. Keep cooking til it's done (another 5-10 minutes).

So yummy.
