well, the new stove is sitting in the kitchen. we just need the electrician/handyman to show up and (a) hook up the gas; and (b) install a modern electrical receptacle for it. He neglected to install the receptacle when he rewired the rest of them earlier this year.

i hope he shows up soon, since i don't really want to skip the farmer's market in scottsville tonight. i might go out and work in the garden, but i feel like crap.

of course, after the stove is hooked up, i'll have to turn on the oven and let the industrial/factory coatings outgas. this means i'll be fleeing for the outdoors. if tom isn't made sick by it, i might just leave. xiane, if you need to go shopping for label-stuff, let me know. :)

would anyone local like to come with us to the market this evening? we typically leave shortly after five, sometimes later. we'll drive to scottsville, meander about the market, then go out to Warren Ferry to see if the peepers are out yet. This also gives us a chance to look at the river. I'll take my wildflower guide this time, too. Then we come home, sometimes stopping to get boy chicken or an egg roll if he's feeling a bit weak.
