Bleagh.

I managed to get my left ear clear yesterday, mostly clear... rubbing alcohol + cotton ball did the trick.

i should go out and work in my garden while it's not raining, but i just woke up half an hour ago and am not quite ready to move yet. very achy, stiff, and such--all the usual.

boy is reading a document for work on the front porch, using his laptop. his job just sucks so incredibly much. ;)

i need to eat, too. and start the beans cooking in the crockpot.

and boy told me we should have a stove *tomorrow* morning. we'd better have one, else i'll just up and refuse to not throw a fit.
yes, it's a nice, sunny day outside. it's also hot and humid. the mosquitoes can smell you from a mile away.

you, dear, are already nauseated from the ear infection and draining mucus. furthermore, the prednisone and keflex are working their insidious magic on your system. you feel like shit. so why, pray tell, did you think you could even *attempt* to work in the garden?

sit down in the cool air conditioned house and drink your cola. your stomach might settle, it might not.

when the heat of the day passes, you can go outside with boy and finish clearing the plot. it's not too late to plant radishes, after all, it stays warm here a bit longer than it does in Indiana. don't forget to oil your skin first. it's a good thing you don't use latex, considering how much oil you've been applying to yourself lately.

when you feel a little better, why don't you head down to the nursery on avon ext and see if they have any ladybugs? that might be nice. and don't forget to ask the neighbors if they have a mallet or sledgehammer so you can pound that rebar into the ground for your tomato supports.

meanwhile, ask that crazy boy of yours to post something about this "mythical white bug" that has him enchanted. he seems quite enamored of it.
even though i felt pretty crappy, i went flyering. the evening has cooled off nicely. [livejournal.com profile] explodingcat and I met [livejournal.com profile] xiane and [livejournal.com profile] s1lentmuse at Coyote, along with Jason. We flyered a bit of the Corner, went to Starbucks for sugar and caffeine, and waited for [livejournal.com profile] blackradish, [livejournal.com profile] mbickers, LeAnne, and Shakti to catch up. M and Shakti fled after awhile, as Shakti was wearing something resembling torture devices on her feet (very nice platform and heeled boots, but not good for walking on brick, slopes, or anything resembling a road surface)... the rest of us headed downtown, meeting up at Christian's, where [livejournal.com profile] daq42 joined us... we flyered the DT mall, then boy, patrick, and i headed to our vehicles while the rest sought dinner.

boy and i are sitting at home now, relaxing and transferring files from powerbook to ibook. i'll have a lot more HD space after this, since he has zillions of musical pieces on this machine. i thought about lighting the torches and working in the garden while it's cool, but (a) citronella makes me sick and i'm already woozy; and (b) SPIDERS come out at night.

we're watching Good Eats, instead. ;)

i might go to bed early tonight.
