about three and a half hours after i took the chlorpheniramine, the hives came back.

*sigh*

and i got completely disconnected, because my computer is screwed up and needs reformatting or something. couldn't find the network, kept crashing, etc... it's being bad. [livejournal.com profile] ismene, sorry for disappearing.

i have to be up around 11ish tomorrow to take the car to the mechanic for the yearly inspection. i have to drop it off and bus home. i really don't want to go, especially if this is still going on. i hope i can sleep tonight, otherwise i won't be able to go. i don't want to deal with the bus *and* hives. *sigh*
[livejournal.com profile] michellew and [livejournal.com profile] lupa were sneaky and had birthdays recently.

They should probably also meet each other. Michelle, Risa. Risa, Michelle.

rrrrar!
I don't have a flu. Whatever this is, it's allergy/asthma related. I think my body's just decided to go full-on autoimmune and bite its own ass.

I dropped off the car at noon. Meandered through Barrack's Road Shopping Center, then discovered I'd missed both busses by five minutes. Not wanting to wait *in the sun* for another hour, I walked a mile to UVA's central grounds, then caught the free trolley downtown, then walked home. Boy called while I was on the way to tell me the car was done. I called him back and asked him to start walking toward me to pick up the bags I was carrying.

Note to self: It's hot (okay, 81F, but it's JUNE), humid (74%), and grass pollen is about. There's also a sizeable amount of traffic since it's now tourist/conference season. Smog, sun, and pollen, dear. You have asthma. This is not a good situation. Don't try to walk a mile and a half in the sun while carrying bags of bread, wine, and kitchen floormats. It's just not a good idea. Now, drink some water and rest quietly inside, where it's cool. And call your doctor. He needs to help you figure out why your asthma is acting up when you're on maintenance meds that normally control it.
i wonder who their supplier is

(plus-size stripeys on that site!)
i finally figured out that having the modem, router, and tv on the same circuit was causing some weird interference. if the router was off, the tv was fine. if it was on, we had a few ghost lines... each computer that turned on made the picture worse until we had sizzling ghost diamonds all over (like a semi-staticky picture)...

so i moved the modem and router over to another outlet, which is also on another circuit. tv is happy. yay!

i've got a doc appt tomorrow morning at 10:45am. i should go to bed very soon. i want to watch stargate's season premiere, but that's what a VCR is for.

hopefully my GP can help straighten things out.

i have a fever, but it's low. and it's 99.5, which won't convince anyone who hasn't known me forever. my normal body temp is 97.1 and i feel feverish right now. i think i'll take a shower and go to sleep. it's probably from lack of sleep last night and walking around today. i slept very poorly.

and then, since i'm pretty sure this is allergies, i went to bat boy: the musical tonight. if it turns out i have sars/anthrax/influenza 4389438442, I apologize for infecting my friends and strangers. as for the cast, they all had pneumonia earlier this week, anyhow.

mmmm, shower...
