the doc gave me prednisone. he thinks i'm having a massive allergic reaction to all the evil pollen and mold. if my ears aren't unblocked by monday, he'll call in antibiotics. this is fine, i'd rather not be on antibiotics and prednisone will make me feel *really* good for the next week. ;)

we wandered around downtown while waiting for the prescription. it's hot out. came home to rest a bit.

in awhile, we'll start making the potato-kale soup. or make pancakes. both will happen today. maybe pancakes first.

boy is making pancakes. i measured out the ingredients and handed them to him as he mixed the batter. now he's making the cakes themselves. yay!

pancakes are a wonderful dinner. I'm sure DJ would agree. We're having ours with maple syrup and applesauce.

Okay. I really, really, really want to go out tonight.

But...

my ears are inflamed. sounds hurts. this would probably NOT mix well at a live show where i normally need earplugs to stay sane. (wearing earplugs hurts right now, too.)

i'm on prednisone. yes, this is making me more energetic. this is false energy, to a certain extent. i will pay for it if i don't take care of myself.

i'm running a 100F fever. not much, but my own normal temp is 97.1 or so. this is more like the equivalent of a 102F fever for normal folks. our house is air conditioned and i'm sweating. not good.

at least i'm not contagious. this is all just super-massive evil allergy d00m.

so, i'm staying home. i'm really, really gonna mope because of this. i might try to see if boy will let me rent a DVD. or... if xiane will be home anytime in the next couple hours, i'd love to come borrow a video for the night. i should call her.

we also managed to buy groceries. so we're having potato kale soup for supper, along with sloppy joes. We bought quorn crumbles for me and ground beast for boy. :)

look at who all i'm gonna miss, in addition to my friends. :/

We borrowed Harold and Maude and the 10th anniversary Edward Scissorhands DVDs from xiane. Boy hasn't seen H&M, so this should be amusing... And the ES DVD has commentaries with Tim Burton and Danny Elfman--JOY!!!
