Mar. 13th, 2007 10:28 pmMy belly has finally outpaced my boobs. Although this isn't the best angle to see that. (Clean, wet poodle next to me!)
Today. The scar under my arm is from the pericardial window I had five years ago. I can't believe it's been that long!

Date: 2007-03-14 08:41 pm (UTC)This reminds me, I need to order from DE. I figure I'll get a 34I (or maybe a J) right now in a nursing bra (lined, cotton/lycra, racer back) and then see how much more I need when my milk comes in. their closures on the nursing bras only come in velcro or hook/eye. I'd really prefer snaps (quieter, easier to handle with one hand). I might just get a regular unbra for the second bra. They're pretty easy to lift, I'm just concerned about needing a bit of extra support.
I've gone up at least one cup size, but I think it's actually two. My upper ribcage has expanded only slightly, my band size is still comfortable.
But everything I've read says that you need at least one bra that will work somewhat for the first few days and then you must find one that fits decently. Apparently boobs are all crazy and leaky. ;)

Date: 2007-03-14 08:52 pm (UTC)They carry my size in stock, and I asked and they carry Maternity and nursing up to a K so I SHOULD be ok. After this I am so getting them cut off. I've heard no underwires for breastfeeding, and all of my current bra's are underwire... so i will need 3-4 more at least.
For some reason Dominic thinks that my cup size wont go up to much. I think he's nuts.

Date: 2007-03-14 09:02 pm (UTC)I had to stop wearing my too-small underwire a few months ago. It was intensely painful deep in my breast . . . ductal pain, seemed like.
There are some nursing underwires and if you're properly fit, you may feel more comfortable in one. The way my boobs are acting, I'm pretty sure they're gonna be offlimits for me.
And we could ask my mom how much her boobs went up with milk, but I don't know if she'd answer on a public post. I'm pretty sure she'd say, "Hell if I know, they don't make bras that big. I was huge. They hurt. Find a good surgeon."
JCP has a bra that goes up to an I cup (http://www4.jcpenney.com/jcp/Products.aspx?DeptID=40379&CatID=3433&CatTyp=FEA&ItemTyp=G&GrpTyp=SIZ&ItemID=0fc71ac&ProdSeq=2&ProdCount=28&Dep=lingerie&RefPage=SearchDepartment&ShowMenu=T&ShopBy=0&SearchString=nursing+bra&S4DeptID=40379&CmCatId=SearchResults|SearchDepartment).

Date: 2007-03-14 09:11 pm (UTC)I forgot about the sleeping in bra's. Right now it's the first thing that comes off when I get home. But I suppose with breasts that shoot goo, I will need something to contain them.
My mom isnt as busty as I am, she went up to a G while nursing me and then down to a DD after. My doctor made a comment that I *might* be smaller after. Frankly I dont care either way. When we are done I am going to do a cut, reduce, and lift. My shoulders already ache, and I've thrown my back out three times. I'd love to be able to see my toes. And I dont think going *down* do a DD or so is really all that *small*

Date: 2007-03-14 09:15 pm (UTC)Anyhow, once the intended purpose is finished, the boobies go AWAY! WOOHOO! I think I'll aim for a full B/small C, especially if my weight stabilizes at the lower end of my curvy scale.

Date: 2007-03-14 09:22 pm (UTC)We *might* do two, (only if I dont get a girl this time) but since I inherited two others....that's 4.. children. At least hubby has good genes.
I dont think I could do a C. When I spoke to a doctor several years ago, he suggested nothing less than a D simply for frame and the fact that I've carried H breasts since I was 18 or so...not only would I have to get used to it, but my body would have to get used to it as well. That's a LOT of flesh to remove.

Date: 2007-03-14 09:30 pm (UTC)It *is* a lot of tissue to remove, but everyone I know who's had massive amounts removed has not regretted it one bit. The pain, the drains, the recovery, the nerve issues . . . . all worth it.

Date: 2007-03-20 01:06 am (UTC)(Of course, I was making enough milk to feed the Russian army, despite only having one seven-pound child to feed, heh.)
I was a D cup before, went up to an F cup during, and went back down to about a DD/E afterwards (before I gained weight -- I'm back in a DDD/F cup now, grrr!)
Jos, you look lovely, thank you for sharing these pics!! SQUIDLETS!!

PS: My boobs were beyond huge. I don't think there is a word that describes them adequately. I just know that you were well fed. :-)

Date: 2007-03-15 02:01 am (UTC)I mean, the whole not-gaining-weight-while pregnant bit is kinda cool, but the trade off is buoys for boobs.
