The bathroom is clean. That's my most important "must do" before visitors arrive. I didn't mop the floor, but there's no dust, except on the lower parts of the porcelain. My back hurts too much for that to get wiped up.

I've got laundry a'washing because I'm out of underwear. Waiting for that.

I'm resting before my next task: picking up the living room. We'll vacuum in here, but probably not anywhere else. Frankly, with a cookout out back, folks are gonna wear shoes, so there's not really much point in cleaning the floors before shoes come in. We'll clean them later, after the shoes go out.

Boy is straightening up the kitchen. The dog is sprawled out on his back beside me, looking much like a goofy poodle on a couch. Of course, he is a goofy poodle and he is on the couch. I suppose that's to be expected.

When I have undies, I can go to Whole Foods and pick up the buns. I should check to see if I have everything I need to make cake before I leave. Time to find my recipes.
