rootofnewtI'm home. Safe and sound. US 11 was the right detour. I got back on I-81S at the next interchange, 7-10 miles south and there was NO traffic behind me. Nothing visible for at least a couple miles back. The only cars in front of me were folks who were ahead of me on US 11. I pulled off at a rest area south of Harrisonburg and it, too, was desolate.
Anyhow, I'm home and showered and ready for bed, which is more than I can say for the bed. In fact, it's more than I can say for my husband, who appears to be at band practice, living life on the edge. Or on the stinky, hard to tell with those guys.
