I've got some shrubs I can't identify. I'm just not very good with landscaping plants.

I believe Mystery Shrub #1 is a Rhododendron (sp?). Looks much like the ones we had in front of the house for years.

The question is whether the shrub blooms and what the blooms look like. It looks a lot like a camellia bush to me.

I was thinking that after I posted... There do appear to be buds in there, and she does mention them. What they look like, though, I don't know.

It's not a camellia. We've got those, too.

There are no flower buds on shrub #1, just leaf buds.

It is most definitely *not* a rhododendron. Those I'm quite good at identifying--I love natives. ;)
