I remember passing by Quartszite on I-10 a few summers back. There was a huge 'Q' on the side of a tor leading up to town. At the time I thought that was probably the most remarkable thing about the flyspeck-looking town. Clearly I was wrong.

I find the naked bookseller guy to be oddly appealing. It takes some real balls (no pun intended) to appear in such outfit (or lack thereof).

Sequined, not beaded. . . not that your Dad was looking. :-) He is a book author and writes two comic strips for the Quartzsite newspaper. His wife writes for the papers as well. She works on a park dedicated to their daughter who died at a young age.
