curry chicken noodle thingy
Nov. 10th, 2005 11:03 pmGet hungry. Want chicken. Take bag of frozen thigh meat from Trader Joe's out of the freezer. Wash 1.5qt saucepan. Put dried onion, some veggie broth, some water, and some minced garlic in the saucepan. Add a chicken thigh and a handful of baby carrots. Think about spices, add a generous heaping dump of curry powder. Sprinkle some lemon zest, salt, and garlic pepper in there. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low boil/high simmer and leave for 15 minutes. Come back. Add a nest of sai fun. Add a generous sloshing of frozen peas. Bring back to full boil for five minutes. Fight boy for servings. Try not to splash curry broth all over tablecloth, magazine, and clothes. Go back for seconds.
(The curry powder I use has a decent amount of chili peppers of various sorts in it. If yours does not, add something that will give it a good kick.)
