The iBook is back, with a new logic board *and* a new fan. The countdown to the next meltdown starts today.

Jericho went to the vet and all is well. His teeth do need cleaning, which we knew. His thorn injury has been shaved and salved, but is not infected. His umbilical hernia is nothing to worry about. He's at a good weight, happy, and quite healthy. His goopy eyes are normal, I just need to keep them clean like I have been. His ears need plucked, but they'll do that when they clean his teeth.

The dental job won't be cheap. I suspect we'll have a couple months of credit card debt for the first time in a year, but that's okay--it's a small price to pay for a healthy dog.

He quite happily gobbled his Interceptor tablet up, which surprised Tom. He doesn't realize that dog medicine like that is made to taste wonderful to canine tastebuds. Our dobe used to beg for her heartworm preventative.

Jericho was very piratey yesterday. He insists that his name is Jericho Balls. I'm assuming this nickname is similar to the way one calls a guy missing a finger, "Eddie Fingers".

I've added more fat to his diet and it's clearing up, so it's nothing to worry about.

love that icon. We found Jack these dental bone things they can chew on and it has helped his teeth...to stay cleaner after being cleaned. They are like children aren't they. We should be able to add them as dependents..*grin*

a beef marrow bone (raw, not cooked or smoked) once a month or so will go a long way towards keeping those doggie teeth clean, once they've been cleaned that is. or, for a non-raw alternative, there are lots of dental bones & dental floss imitating chew toys on the market recently.

My parents have a toy poodle and the goopy eyes are just part of poodleness--they just have to clean them a lot--Her ears also have to be cleaned--My sister was a vet tech so she would often take care of that for them.
