I was adding some protein powder to my smoothie when I noticed a particular sentence: Whey surpasses even whole eggs in its ability to deposit nitrogen in the muscle.

If I was ever convinced that my husband was trying to kill me, it's now. He and my doctor are conspiring to turn me into the perfect soil amendment for red Virginia clay. Sure, most folks use bone or blood meal or white clover. They all fix nitrogen in the soil incredibly well and red clay is generally nitrogen-poor. Those aren't good enough for [livejournal.com profile] explodingcat. Oh, no. He's going to use [livejournal.com profile] krasota meal.

Hmm. So I could use you in the cat vitamin-mineral mix I'm making, rather than bone meal?

Milk products don't bother you?

Nope. I'm lactose intolerant, but it's mild and varies. It's been there my whole life, so I don't really bother with it. And whey is relatively lactose-free.

Your father thanks you for the referral. :)

I'll get you my pretty. And your little dog too. ;)

I wonder if Krasota meal would be better for gardening than general bone or blood meal? :)

Come grind yourself all over our yard - we have crappy soil here. ;-)

Okay, I just realized how bad that sounds, especially if taken the slightest bit out of context. Never mind. ;-)
