rootofnewtToday, I have a few goals.
The first was to apply another coat of stain to the footstool pieces. I did that. OUTSIDE. Much better this time around, plus I remembered that acetone is the solvent of choice and that I have acetone in my bathroom cabint, so my hands are a bit cleaner today.
The second is to obtain coffee. I'm heating up the espresso right now. It should be done brewing in a second.
I'm going to accompany boy to his voice lesson, which will give me doggy time. YAY! After the lesson, I'll buy contact lenses and, perhaps, some nitrile or vinyl gloves that are *small*, so I can do the rest of the staining without worrying about my hands.
We need some groceries, but not a lot. If I can't find cinnamon syrup, I'm just going to make cinnamon vodka.
And the biggest task for the day--clean the kitchen. Those rails are going up, stuff's getting put away, and the counter will be cleared. Yes. It must be done.
Tomorrow, I'll quickly clean the bathroom and if the weather is still nice, we're taking ourselves to the mountains.

I was doing so much better before I flared my wrist. Apparently, I am no longer meant to paint for 7 hours straight (was I ever?). I just kept thinking, "I have to finish. I have to finish." Well, I finished and really it was worth it because we signed a full price offer on our old house last night. But ooof. My wrist and hand may never forgive me. The hand surgeon is going to beat me if I have to go see him again.
I hope you get everything arranged as you want it. It seems like it takes forever. I am soooooo impatient. *sigh*
