In-laws visited, more stuff got moved. We're now sleeping at the new house.

Went to Short Pump today to drop off the iBook at the Apple Store. The repair is 100% covered by Apple. WOOHOO!

Decided to drive up to Ikea to check out various options for when we have money again. We've been thinking about the Noresund bed for a year. The new matching Noresund bedside tables, however, are flimsy and unreliable. Will find other bedside tables. The beds still seem stury. Perhaps the security deposit or tax return will bring one of those. Checked out storage options for spices, as pantry space limited at new place.

Very tired from all the moving. Very cold here in old house since the heat is turned down and I'm in the uninsulated sunroom that gets shut off from the rest of the house. Need to go warm up.

It's snowing. I hope NWS's "inch" is equivalent to my "three feet". Boy points out that I am shorter, so perhaps I'll luck out.

Schedule?

I have a schedule?

Currently, my schedule consists of waking up, calling boy when I want a ride, and coming here to pack. This is purely theoretical, as his first day of commuting starts tomorrow.

Want tea at my place or the tea bazaar? I can do either, quite easily.

Surely Cville has all kinds of flea markets and secondhand stores to scour for nifty furniture. And weren't yuou wanting to ake things out of wood anyway?

I want a metal bed frame and wood matching bedside tables. Cville does have secondhand stores and flea markets, but most of 'em have overpriced stuff for wood in good shape, especially matched sets. I'm not buying MDF or HDF from Ikea--I'll buy pine or walnut.

I *could* make bed cabinets, but I'm not so hot with doors. I'd also need a level and a jigsaw. If it weren't winter, I'd attempt to hire my dad, but then mom would get irritated that he was woodworking instead of working on getting the house ready to sell.

Since his shop is out in the barn, he can't work out there in extreme temperatures. And since the other shop option is in Goshen and he's not allowed to drive right now . . . that's not so feasible. And mom would kill me. Plus, my dad would likely price himself out of my range, just to be dad.

Sure, explain it all so it makes sense.

I want a metal bed but haven't found one I like yet that's not in the thousands of dollars.

I'm looking for a platform bed that's not a toe-buster. So far the only thing I've found is plans, nothing pre-built. I have the skill and tools, but no place to work. :(
