The wireless card (old standard airport) for the iBook arrived yesterday. The wireless router arrived today.

The iBook is back online.

Went out and bought paint today at the new natural home store in town. Got "Cherry Ashes". It's not pink. It's sort of a dusty rose/mauve. There are grey tones in it. Stop saying that. It's NOT PINK!

Anyhow, I discovered that mollies/anchors are hard to remove, but spackling is easy. I'll spackle again tomorrow, since these were deep holes. Sand four hours later, wash the walls, and start taping! Hope to have painting done by Friday, so I'd *love* any help. It's a small room. I hope I get to bed at a reasonable hour tonight so that I can go over by noon tomorrow. In that case, I could have primer on by 6pm and a coat of paint on tomorrow night. If someone would come help me paint *Friday* during the day, I could have this job done before my in-laws get into town that day and that would thrill me.

Saturday, the landlord's coming back with his truck and trailer and lock equipment to work on the lock some more--he didn't have the right chisels last weekend. We hope to get the bed moved. I can't decide if I want to try to move the couch or hire someone. I mean, I *cannot* move it. I'm not allowed to do any heavy lifting and I have a tendency to drop things when my hands just flop or stop gripping. It's big and has two recliner ends. I think I might have to just hire some strapping young lads or lasses to do it. It's leather, so I'm really worried about it.

explodingcat is disturbed by wireless. He was waving his hands near the router, claiming, "the qi feels weird". I told him to come feel his subwoofer.

Crap. I forgot to mix up my henna paste. Hrm. I could sleep with it in, I suppose. Or maybe just wait.

They were there when we moved in. I've washed them. They will stay until the kitchen gets redone, so they'll be there for awhile. Blue and cream check--large check. not as heinous as they could be.

We can't afford to make everything perfect right away. ;)

that would be awesome. :) we can have tea and paint! i already have the kettle at the new place, i can take more tea and cups over. if you bring a fresh change of clothes, you can shower at our place and hang out with us in the evening. tom's parents are coming in, but we'll likely go out for tea or gelato. they don't mind company.

if you just feel like keeping me company during the day, that's cool, too.

I can't stay in the evening-- I have to be in S'ton by 5pm for auditions and rehearsal, so to be safe I'd need to leave your place by 4pm. But I think I can come over, depending on how I feel when I wake. What time? And to where? And I know where my painting clothings are, so I should be all set. :)
