I've commandeered the iBook. [livejournal.com profile] explodingcat has too much schoolwork to worry about my activities. He's stuck in the sunroom, slogging away at code and builds and other monstrosities masquerading as homework.

I've got the iSight out and I've managed to get iTunes shared between the accounts.

Soon, I'll get back to cleaning out duplicate files on this machine. I need to free up a gig so that I can back up the powerbook. Sure, the powerbook has a whole 4G, but only 1G of it or so is comprised of personal files (pictures, pictures, pictures). It's got nearly a gig free and the other stuff (programs, etc) are already on this machine from just before my last OS reinitialization.

So, this is a iBook 900 12", does that mean it can only use the standard Airport stuff? Grrrr, that would be annoying and enough to make me consider any decent third party options.

Seriously. .the apple airport is going to be significantly less troublesome, much easier to deal with. .and will probably get better range than any 3rd party solution. The ibooks have built in antennas that put most centrino notebooks to shame.

Apple card. .~80 bucks . . .sleezy and easy.

3rd party driver =~15-20 $. Compatable USB wireless device with a broadcom or prism2 chipset or whatever 20-40$ . .and crappy range!. grrr!
