Oct. 24th, 2004 02:19 pmSo, we have an Autogeist.
(This is where local folks can recommend good car electronics repair shops. I don't want to go to a regular mechanic.)
Anyhow, went out last night. It was good to see folks, but going out leaves me quite drained. I'm exhausted, achier than usual, and my head is killing me. Just attending the Dawning leaves me hungover without the benefit of getting me drunk first. I need to move to a city or state where indoor smoking isn't allowed. Unfortunately, those places typically have (a) bad weather; (b) bad traffic; (c) bad air quality; (d) bad locations (anything west of the Mississippi is a bad location, as it's substantially closer to the Ring of Fire than anything *east* of the Mississippi).
Anyhow, I slept for about nine hours and I'd love to crawl back in for another nine, but that would bugger up my schedule for the week.
Today, I think my goals for today involve leaving the house. I might just walk one block, but I need to do at least that much. If espresso were to miraculously appear in that block, I'd praise the hamsters above. Maybe I'll call
xiane. I need to chat with her to confirm a few things about this week. I can also offer her a ride to WNRN tonight.

Date: 2004-10-25 02:58 am (UTC)It can get hot in the summer, but seldom over 100F and almost always with humidity less than 20%. The end of July and all of August is monsoon season with clear mornings and thunder storms of usually less than an hour in the afternoon.
Since I've been paying attention to the weather here over the last 3 years, there's only been a couple of really heavy snow storms per year and several small storms that leave just a few inches and melt/evaporate within a few days. Last Xmas it was warm enough that I was wearing sandals outdoors. Very little slush just because the snow goes away so quickly.
Here in Boulder we get about 20" of precipitation per year. Here's a good website for info:

By your standards we probably do have nice weather. Hell, by my standards we have pretty good weather. :)
