I'm always surprised that Ego Likeness isn't more popular in the goth scene. Their music is original, it rocks, it's beautiful beautiful stuff, and they have a wonderful stage presence. Plus, they're really nice people. Why doesn't everyone just drool and rave about them all the freakin' time? You know, everyone besides the nuts in the C'ville scene who are already drooling and raving? ;)
I listened to the new album (Water to the Dead) today--we bought it at the show Monday--and I am just blown away. Of course, I had to put in the older album, dragonfly, and it's also incredibly good. I love the music scene we have in our little crazy subculture, but it really isn't *often* that one finds a band that is consistently good. And they are consistently brilliant. Really.

Date: 2004-09-09 05:37 pm (UTC)Now that they're with Noir/Dancing Ferret, I see more attention coming their way. You know they're opening for Collide's first ever live show? I think that's going to gather them some real attention that they richly deserve.
You have such good taste in music :)
