"Do you have anything I could read?"
"I like your shoes."
"Can we listen to Beethoven or the Beach Boys today?"
"I'm finished with this book, may I read another?"
I'm hungry. Do you have any summer sausage or dried beef?"
"Can we go tree climbing?"
"Have you ever seen a bear?"
"May I take this book outside and read with the trees?"
"I don't drink milk unless it's strawberry."
"White milk is gross."
"I mean it. I won't drink it. Call my mom if you don't believe me."
"May I have another book to read?"
"Do you have any books about Abraham Lincoln?"
"I like science. Can we see what colors those powders turn if we set them on fire?"
"Let's smell all the spices in the spice cabinet!"
*whispered* "I believe in ghosts, you know."

You know, I could see the 10-year-old you whispering that last statement to the 10-year-old me, and the 10-year-old me gets very wide eyed, gasps and says,"Really, you too? I thought I was the only one." And then we giggle together, with me being very relieved. :D
