Richmond, VA folks

Is there a folk (music) scene in Richmond? If so, could you leave a little note with some details? A friend of mine lives in Richmond, but doesn't really know the town well (non-native) and she likes folk music. :)

Check RVA community, if I remember correctly, they talk about folk shows sometimes. Usually performed in Carytown.
