boy removes snow from the car after the This Means You show earlier this month

I made this wreath this year. I bought the base snow-tipped wreath, then added the silver-frosted blue poinsettias, silver poinsettias, blue and silver berries, assorted blue/silver leaves and beads, and the silver-blue ribbon at the bottom.

A soft view of our holiday tree.... I almost claimed I took this picture before I put my contacts in, but I'd have to be two feet away to see with even that amount (or lack) of clarity. ;)

I am a bad daughter. I didn't get any pictures of my mom, but I did get pictures of dad. I also got a picture of Tom, the piano, the organ, and my parents' overstuffed bookshelf.

Bailey suspects a camera is nearby, Neal sits patiently. Neal plays with a stretchy-squeaky-raspy poodle. Neal attempts to eviscerate a clicking octopus. In the background, you can actually make out my parents on the TV. We had the videocam set up and hooked up to the TV. That's how my dad normally dresses. Pretty chic, huh? Mom really loves his legs, so she insists on the leggings and control socks. You can barely make out her in the background, she's knitting him a new beanie cap to wear so that he doesn't get too cold in the winter.

So.... you wanted to see me in a sports bar? Well, here you go--what's more, this place was a speakeasy during Prohibition. We were in a coveted upstairs booth. These are the friendliest shots we've ever taken with/at each other, even if my brother isn't manly enough for Jaeger (he has Rumplemintz).

My little brother.

the guys goad Sheleatha (she graduated from HS with brandon) into a buttershot and then make faces.

The next day... The lighting attempted to eat his head as he walked down the aisle in his cap and gown.

It was cold and windy. Mom got the rest of the pictures and we fled to the car for warmth.

I had boy open a gift early on Yaksmas Eve--hey--it was an appropriate Chanukah gift, right?. Dreidel sippy cups might spin better when full of sparkling kosher grape juice, but I didn't let him try.

Items visible in this picture: the box Panther came in, an iBook, Bessie the couch, part of a National Science Foundation mug, the afghan my mother-in-law made us, and a geek in a Fantomas shirt and boxers. Taken Yaksmas morning. Shortly thereafter, I opened my Dead Milkmen DVD.

yesterday, this cat chased a squirrel up into our maple tree. I tried to lure it down with "kitty kitty catnip", but it leapt for safety and ran for another tree.

A rare picture of me, tonight. My hands are on my waist, resting on my hips, so they're about 36" off the floor. I'm 5'2". It's not that my hair is long--my torso is just REALLY short. ;) And, um, I'm wearing one of my two housedresses. [livejournal.com profile] absinthea was with me when I bought this one. Actually, I don't remember if this dress was a bought dress or a freebie-in-a-hippie-shop-bin dress.

I got Panther, too. Loaded it on both my desktop (Gay Elmo) and my laptop (Ernie). So far I like it, but it does seem to be conflicting with my firewall program. I haven't worked out that bug yet.

The snow in that first pic looks like you put it in (quite poorly) in Photoshop or something. Or (and this actually seems more likely now that I think about it) there are a bunch of little alien spaceships circling Boy while he cleans off the car.
