boy is at his last qi bong class of the term. next term starts in a few weeks. he gets a bit of a respite for the holidays.

i'm stuck with TV and still resting, though i'd like to clean. the stuff that needs doing is lifting and i cannot do that. i also resent cleaning when i'm the only one in the house doing it. ;)


And I need to wait til payday until I can buy materials to make a skirt for the tree and some ornaments.

I wish I could find someplace safe to store the three CD cabinets we no longer use. We don't have room for them, can't use them here, they generated a little interest in the garage sale, but not much. I haven't been able to sell them (haven't tried that hard--I'd give them away to a friend). They have to be screwed into the wall studs (or anchored in the dry wall with multiple screw/anchors). I even have blocks made to lift them above baseboards so they sit flush against the wall. Some friends have expressed interested, but dammit--take possession!!! I keep forgetting to make flyers to put up at UVA--it's the time of year when some students will be furnishing apartments.

I'll do my best tomorrow to drop off toys somewhere. And maybe take some CDs to Plan 9, though I really hate doing that sort of thing, so maybe boy can do it on another evening. Need to clear out space. Need to arrange mailing those CDs that I held from the garage sale at some point.

Need to find places to store the camping stuff my father-in-law gave us, too. And all the clean laundry needs to be put away. I just want this house to be in *order*. Is that too much to ask?

Okay, typing that all has exhausted me. I think I'll just vegetate.

Ok, I have to respond to this with a "I know what I want to give you for Christmas!". Now, now, don't go thinking that I'm getting you anything of great value/expense! On the contrary, I can't afford anything for anyone, even family ;) So I'm celebrating Christmas (since well...ok, lets face it my family is into Christmas and most of my friends are too, give or take a you or Christiane ;) hehe and a Jay and a me and a...well you understand my rambling?) probably on the 16th of January (since it's around the Epiphany anyway), yeah, uhm, here's my thinking... ;) So, one Saturday when I come up to the Dawning and your house needs a LOT of cleaning/laundry (of course I'm sure Tom would rather *you* do his underwear ;>) I can a) spend the night at Chez Pace/Lynch and then b) Sunday be your maid for a day! A Whip included! ;) Especially if you don't feel good...then I can bring boi and he and you can comiserate and supervise ;) How's that sound? Good. You think I'm joking, don't you? ;) *kisses*

that's such a sweet offer, but i really don't like having anyone else clean/straighten up my place... you're more than welcome to stay with us anytime. and laundry isn't an issue. hanging it up is. ;)

Hmm...if you have pictures of those, I'd like to take a look. My work could use any contributions possible, and if those fit in with the theme of the place, we can find something to use them for. And I'm sure I could even find some way to get down there and get them, or pay for shipping.

pictures of what? the cd cabinets?

they have a couple scratches, which aren't noticeable (one's on a side, and can be hidden if they're put next to each other). they're high density pressboard, ikea construction. two entirely black, one with black sides, and birch veneer front (we were having an assembly party and didn't pay attention to what one friend was doing until he had it assembled, when we realized Ikea gave us the wrong color for one of 'em). i can probably arrange pics. but do you really need to store 600 or so CDs? and have the wallspace? i'm not sure how they'd work for a workplace. ;)

Well, yeah, pictures of them. We have kind of a theme and a color scheme to the shop, and I'd like to see if they'd match.

And we don't have any use for storage for about 600 cds, but I would like to see if the cabinets could be modified for other uses, too.
