i'm so nauseous.

i think it might be the darvocet. the only way to figure that out is to stop taking it... i haven't had any for several hours. the pain is rather nasty and is probably making the nausea worse...

of course, the other drugs i'm on post-surgery could be to blame. i can't stop taking those, but i can mess around with the painkiller. if it's making me nauseous, i can call and request something else (not that i'll get anything else).

if it's NOT the painkiller, i need to call and let the doctor know, anyway, since nausea could indicate a recurrence of the pericarditis.

*sigh*

life was so much simpler when i didn't go to the doctor.

i've been on an ice cream diet (chocolate), because that's all i can really bear to eat. it seems to be working. ;)

you'd think that my doctors would realize that the whole class of (opiate agonist + acetominophen) does bad things to me. percocet gives me severe insomnia, vicodin gives me hives... darvocet barely touches the pain and gives me nausea.

after not taking it for nearly 24 hours, some of the nausea is gone, but i don't really feel like moving... i'm not sure that's a worthy trade off.

as for phenergan... i'm already on another antihistamine... i'm not sure the doctor would even prescribe it.

i'm going to call today. i'm still mildly nauseous, not on any pain meds, and my eyes don't like focusing together. while in the hospital, i thought the eye thing was due to the dilaudid.

*sigh* Awww, honey . . . let me know how the doctor-phone-call goes, I hate seeing you feeling so icky!
