plea for a friend in the LA area of Cali
Dec. 1st, 2003 08:29 pmI've a friend in very sore need of finding a doctor who can be her primary care physician. She has thyroid problems and needs someone who can handle that, plus her birth control, etc. She's rather shy, but also quite independent. She doesn't like dealing with strange doctors and would rather have recommendations. Being rather reclusive and such, she has no friends with similar health issues who are local to her who can recommend doctors she might get along with.
her partner's company was supposed to add her several months ago, but are buttheads and haven't managed to get it in gear yet. she doesn't make a lot of money and needs to find someone ASAP because the clinic she uses is going to cut her off from birth control since they can't cope with her other health problems. someone who accepts sliding scale (or long term payment plans) would be ideal, as would someone who accepts a wide variety of insurance. she's trying to get hired full time where she works so that she'll at least have insurance there, but that could take awhile.
She's in the San Fernando Valley area and has access to a car. She'd rather drive to a doctor she likes than walk to one she hates.
(Those of you who know who she is--hush... ;) she's wanting to stay anonymous right now.)
If anyone can offer advice, feel free to comment/direct others here or email me at krasota (at) livejournal (dot) com. I can forward name/addy info to her.
