I really hate the days when handling a paperback is out of the question, nevermind a softcover or hardback. Heavy, dusty, cumbersome, painful...
I've been reduced to re-reading second and third-rate vampire fiction (and worse). I could quite easily lose my mind in this stuff--the literary equivalent of a black velvet artist who only copies rococo artists.
Someone save me... please.

Date: 2002-01-25 04:07 pm (UTC)i devour books... tend to read by paragraphs and pages, not words and sentences. at home, when i'm bored and tired and too achy/weak to hold up a book, i can't really occupy myself with sewing or housework, so audio tapes don't cut it.
on the bright side, it only took three issues of "Dreams of Decadence" to knock me out. ;)

but, yeah. ebooks are a great thing. i don't mind paying for them (in fact, i think it's essential). i also subscribe to gothic.net, so i can read short stories and stuff there. i completely forgot about that--i could've been doing that the other night.
