I only learned it because in highschool I didn't take chemistry and instead took something called Mechnical Sciences, where we learned stuff like that, and different sorts of radiators and engines. I've forgotten most of it, but knew enough to 1) not be too worried, and 2) wonder why they hadn't made some sort of failsafe so things like that didn't happen to this degree.
