The history channel is acting up. I can't watch stuff about the Romans. *pout*

Fortunately, the cartoon network is fine, so I can watch Hamtaro in peace.

I slept nearly 10 hours. I haven't done that for a month or so. I think I needed it.

Of note--my sore throat (the tight feeling, plus a bit of rawness) disappeared while I was out of town. It came back late last night, as I was getting ready for bed...

could there be something in the house bothering your sinuses & giving you a sore throat? (to state the obvious)

that's my guess. i don't know whether it's dust, mold, or chemical, though. and the sore throat hit immediately after i drank a glass of water. if the problem is city water, we're in trouble, as we can't afford to buy bottled water. we have a brita, but that pretty much just gets rid of the horrible taste of city water.

Bottled water?

We've been buying all our drinking water for the past few months. We budget about $20 a month towards it. Since we can get a 2 gallon (i think that's how big they are) jug for around $2.50, we've found that we are usually pretty good with that. It's helped my sinuses a whole lot.

We *drink* at least a gallon a day. We also use filtered water for all cooking.

I can't see buying it being economical in any sense of the word. Tom's not getting sick and he's the one bringing money home. As callous as it sounds, my health can suffer because I don't have to get up and work each day. It can't suffer too much--boy needs some help around the house, after all. We might invest in a better filter--maybe a faucet mount PUR...

we got a faucet mounted pur not long after moving in here. our water company used a chlorine based disinfection/cleaning system & the tap water used to taste like swimming pool. the pur filter helped with that & gets a lot of other stuff out of the water. it was pretty easy to install & you can still take it with you when you move.

doesn't get chloromines out of the water though - which is a by product of our town's new water filtration system. haven't found a filter yet that would work for that & that had a practical price.
