So, I dropped the car off at 12:45. The kind mechanic gave me a ride over to Barracks so I could catch the bus. I rode the bus to the south end of the DT mall, then walked home (about five blocks, not far).

Meanwhile, it's raining steadily.

They just called 10 minutes ago and said the car is done. That was quick. I'm guessing they were right--a paperclip or something got pulled into the fan area and was making noise when the fan blades hit it. So I need to get back down there. I'll head back out soon.

I called [livejournal.com profile] mbickers to see if she was still in town, but she's at the farm AND she has a cold. When she has a cold, she doesn't squeak and she sounds very befuddled. I told her to rest up and I'd see her whenever she came back.

I've got chickpeas and onions in water--the makings of soup--on the stove. I'll go get the car and then come back and add in the spices and maybe some kale or something similar.

And tonight, I'd like to go to the Scottsville Farmer's Market before we go to see the Two Towers (boy hasn't seen it and tonight's the last night).

***oops. forgot to post before i left. got the car back. yay!

I'm glad the car problem was nothing serious. Sometimes I hate cars. I think you mentioned that you drive a '95 Buick Regal. That's what I drive too! Every time I take it to get an oil change, they tell me that coolant is leaking from the manifold and that it's a $700-$1500 repair. I always tell 'em to put it where the sun don't shine. So I add some coolant once in awhile...

I can so squeek! See, *breathes in* SQ-*COUGHCOUGHCOUGH*

...

*cries*

I am seeing about a new (to me) car tomorrow... old diesel Jetta (!) which will be a lot less 'spensive, but a lot less cool, than driving the Vaginamobile. Then I am coming home, transplanting my roses, and looking forlorn.

I doubt I will be contagious then, I come over and annoy you and Tom and possibly Chad? ... of course, I'm too pathetic to be really annoying... *cries* ... maybe you will all just pity me. ^-^;;;

Glad you got your car so quick...our farmer's market here is not much good and on top of that...it is not handicap accessible...there are like ten or so stairs. Oh yea..if you want to go around back and go on the loading doc you can come in that way...
hugs
Deb

Aww. Maybe you should go get a doggy toy, so you can have something that will squeak for you.
