rootofnewtSo, I dropped the car off at 12:45. The kind mechanic gave me a ride over to Barracks so I could catch the bus. I rode the bus to the south end of the DT mall, then walked home (about five blocks, not far).
Meanwhile, it's raining steadily.
They just called 10 minutes ago and said the car is done. That was quick. I'm guessing they were right--a paperclip or something got pulled into the fan area and was making noise when the fan blades hit it. So I need to get back down there. I'll head back out soon.

mbickers to see if she was still in town, but she's at the farm AND she has a cold. When she has a cold, she doesn't squeak and she sounds very befuddled. I told her to rest up and I'd see her whenever she came back.
I've got chickpeas and onions in water--the makings of soup--on the stove. I'll go get the car and then come back and add in the spices and maybe some kale or something similar.
And tonight, I'd like to go to the Scottsville Farmer's Market before we go to see the Two Towers (boy hasn't seen it and tonight's the last night).
