May. 27th, 2003 04:27 pmYes, so. On our way to Cville Saturday (to pick up the tickets boy forgot), the AC started making a high pitched squeal, I pulled off, boy turned off the AC/vent, and the noise stopped, so we continued on our way. As we neared Cville, I asked him to call Finley's and ask if they were open and could at least look at the car to make sure it wasn't likely to blow up.
They said it was the blower motor and that it likely just needs to be cleaned out, but that it's safe to use. (Actually, old Mr. Finley said, "I can't guarantee your car won't blow up, but I doubt the blower motor will make it explode or catch fire.") So, assured that we could continue driving the car, we headed for our house.
We grabbed the tickets, I took a quick shower (yay, a one day reprieve from DC water!), and we showed
yurikokinje around the house. We also stopped downtown for pizza and then hopped into Coyote to say hello to
xiane.
mbickers drove past us and made cat calls, which I returned in kind. Then we headed back to DC.
Anyhow,
terrapingardens was bereft at the lack of linkage in my earlier post. So, Rick and Sarah live at Terrapin Gardens, though they just bought a new house in Silver Spring. They close on 3 June and would probably be thrilled to show you pictures. It's cute, has a nice yard, and is located in a pretty neat neighborhood.
The other links on that page are for their pie tasting journal (yes, we have Weebl and Bob to thank for THAT one), Rick's rant/thought/brain chewing blog, and Sarah's... uh... Creative Juices...
Anyhow. I'm waiting to
ismene to show up. She's stopping here on her way back to Indy and we're going for pizza.
explodingcat and
xiane will join us. I'm told that
mbickers is at the farm, so she's too far away to tag along.
briskpepper is going to be a quiet recluse and stay home, even though it would thrill boy beyond words to have him join us. ;) Maybe he'd like to come watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with us some night. It's one of my favoritest movies.
