Virginia enacts anti-spam law

I'm torn on this... I know that spam *does* cost resources and it's really annoying, but I'm not sure it needs to be regulated like this. I don't know. On the other hand, I do enjoy seeing spam-lords being brought down. I just prefer to use badgers and lions, rather than laws.

Is that my cue to make a road trip to Virginia and have a few spam-lords for dinner? ;-P

I think anything that reduces the number of ads for Viagra and penis enlargement in my inbox is a very good thing, indeed.

Random trivia: they had the bill-signing for this at my workplace. I didn't go, but I could have. They made a huge to-do about it and invited all the employees at AOL.

I agree...I think we can "law" ourselves to death.
