Apr. 26th, 2003 06:11 pmtoday i made bloomers out of a crazy glow-in-the-dark star print.
they're huge and airy. i need to take in the waist elastic, but i'll do that later.
these were just a practice run. the pattern i used suggests way too much ease and airiness. Or maybe I just have more slender legs than the average rennfester. Who knows. I even scaled down the total proportions slightly and they're *still* huge and airy. These would be great for adult babies who want to wear diapers. this is the first time i've drafted a pattern for actual clothing. i can see ways i need to improve on this one, but it's a good start.
i still think they'll be nice for summertime, though. ;)

Date: 2003-04-26 03:36 pm (UTC)using this method (http://www.mistymountain.org/~maggie/makeyourown.htm), which should have occurred to me. and Simplicity 7655, the capri pants (B) option. super simple. i'm ironing out the pattern right now and should be done fairly soon. ;) i want a very slim (but long) set that won't be too baggy under skirts.
i'm going to have to go buy lace trim if i like them enough. ;)
