Yesterday was warm. 70s. In my short-sleeve shirt and light-weight cargo pants, I was sweating a lot while doing the moving stuff. I had my hair pulled up and I was still overly warm. We had lots of rain last night, earlier in the evening, I watched thunderheads pile up and move northeast. Occasionally, I saw some massive lightning shows while driving on ridgelines.

I just woke up. There are a couple inches of snow on the ground.

Woohoo! I love March.

I once spent a week at a workshop at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. In early April. I went to bed and it was 70 degrees at 10:00 that night. The next morning there was an inch of snow on the ground. We walked outside after the first panel discussion and it was once again in the 70s, birds singing, sun shining, not a trace of snow anywhere. After lunch we went back inside, viewed an hour or so's worth of tape, headed back outside for a break and there was torrential rain which turned to hail.

They said to bring clothing for any eventuality. I'm a SF Bay Area native. I didn't know what the hell "any eventuality" meant. :)

I went to Plumas County once on a sunny April weekend. I brought tshirts, a light jacket, sandals, and jeans for two days and two nights.

That night it snowed.

The plows finally got through six days later.
