it's getting to be that time of year again...

A couple of springs ago, ashbet's kiraboo, her dad (Charlie) and I were at Montgomery County Mall up in Maryland.

Kira saw a sign advertising the presence of the easter bunny and predictably exclaimed, "OOOOH! Can we go see the Easter Bunny?"

Charlie and I just looked at each other and started chanting in a nice ominous monotone, "Wick-er Bun-ny" over and over.

ashbet, were you there? I'm sorry that I can't remember. I just remember that Charlie and I thereafter frequently burst into wicker bunny chanting when confronted with mass marketing or mass stupidity.

I saw that terrifying plastic "easter grass" at Michael's last week. The chanting returns...
